Ed Sheeran: 'I Think The Point In Life Is To Have A Family'

Ed Sheeran is a celebrating a career highlight as his Beyoncé-assisted remix to "Perfect" is sitting pretty on top of the Billboard Hot 100, but the British singer/songwriter has a bigger goal in life and it's all centered around a family.

In a recent interview with Julie Adenuga, the 26-year-old spoke about his future 10 years down the line and ultimately Sheeran wants to have children. "Honestly, this sounds super, super, super cheesy, but I think the point in life is to have a family and raise your kids really well and let them then raise a family and do that and basically pass it on," the singer explained of his long-term goals.

"I think the end goal for anything is children. I don't know if I'll have them in 10 years, but I would like to at least start thinking about it, so I think having a kid or many," he continued.

It's certainly not the first time that Sheeran has made his adoration for fatherhood public. In fact, he has even bought this sort of narrative into his music, too, with "Small Bump" as well as his duet with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis on "Growing Up (Sloane's Song)."
