Navy Pier Turns Into "Chicago Beach"

In the midst of Chicago's first snowpocalypse, Navy Pier is giving Chicagoans the opportunity to escape somewhere warmer like the beach! Well, kind of.

The infamous Chicago landmark has been converted to "The Beach Chicago" until February 3rd. The official website describes the interactive art exhibit as

"is an immersive art installation, which consists of a large, open room filled with more than a million antimicrobial and recyclable plastic balls, along with deck chairs, lifeguard chairs, umbrellas and signage that mimic the sensation of a day at the beach."

The best part of this new art installation? It's completely free to the public!
