The opening of the new Britney Spears musical has been delayed in Chicago. Oh no! Here are all the details:
Broadway in Chicago has pushed back the world premiere of the new musical Once Upon a One More Time, a modern story of fairy-tale princesses told using Britney Spears songs. Previously scheduled to begin performances this fall, the show is now slated for spring 2020.
Once Upon a One More Time will run April 14–May 17, 2020, at the James M. Nederlander Theatre in Chicago .As previously reported, the show is eyeing a subsequent Broadway bow.
Using songs like "Stronger," "Toxic," and "Oops I Did It Again,"Once Upon a One More Time is the story of a group of famous fairy-tale princesses—challenged by way of aThe Feminine Mystique-wielding fairy godmother—on the quest for a new kind of narrative: one in which they can let their hair down, smash the glass slippers, and claim their own kingdom.
Booo. Seems the reasoning in scheduling issues!
