Julia Garner has been showing off her major acting skills in huge hits like Ozark and Inventing Anna.
"The Madonna project is in active development, and Julia Garner is the choice to play Madonna in the biopic," a source close to the project told PEOPLE.
According to Variety, Garner has been chosen from over a dozen other actresses as the favorite, and has since been offered the role.
Madonna has been giving us hit after hit since 1983. It's about time we get to see a bit more about her start in the music industry and how she became the pop icon she is today.
