Not many places can compete with Chicago summertime. No matter what day of the week you're trying to find something fun to do, you can easily do it here. If you're making a trip downtown this weekend or even already live here make sure to add these places to your 'to do' list.
1. 29 Rooms
The large warehouse space is broken up into exactly what it's called, 29 rooms. Each room is decorated differently and hosts interactive 'props' for visitors. If you're looking for a location to take the best Instagram worthy pics, this is your place. You can walk along a giant typewriter keyboard, take cute Boomerangs jumping into the ball pit, or channel your inner hippie in the flower room. You're allowed to play around for 3 hours for only $39. But, the exhibit is only here until SUNDAY so make sure to grab your tickets now.
2. Swim With Belugas'
I don't know how I didn't know this was a thing until recently. The Shedd Aquarium allows you to hop into the very tank that the Beluga whales live in to interact with them in an up close and personal setting. After completing a short training session, you'll stand beside a trainer as you interact with the whales. Another great photo op for the gram'. If you're interested in the experience, click here.
3. 'The Office' popup bar in Lincoln Park
The Office fans can experience what it's really like to be apart of the iconic show as they step into a similar set at the popup bar in Lincoln Park. The bar will call Chicago home from July 27-August 30 and include trivia nights for the real fans! Complete details of the space have been scarce but we're expecting fun Office inspired cocktails, photo opportunities, karaoke, and a recreation of the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin.
