BTS is breaking boundaries and slowly but surely becoming the best boy band this generation has ever seen. Monday they addressed the United Nations making them the first K-Pop group to do so. Kim Namjoon, more commonly known as RM and the leader of BTS gave a powerful speech urging all people, young and old, to have the room to be themselves and speak freely.
We have all learned to love ourselves. Now I urge you to speak yourself. I'd like to ask all of you, what is your name? What excites you and makes your heart beat? Tell your story. I want to hear your voice and I want to hear your conviction. No matter who you are, where you're from, your skin color, your gender identity - just speak yourself.
A powerful message from the group that will go down in history as a monumental moment not only for the group but for music and humanity as well. See the full speech by RM below.
