Chicago's Metered Street Parking Is Going Paperless

Chicago Parking Meters LLC (the company that handles metered street parking for the city) announced that on October 3rd it will begin installing new touch-screen paperless pay boxes for all 36,000 metered parking spaces in the city.

This will no longer require dashboard receipts as proof of payment.

The project is expected to be completed by mid-2019, according to Chicago Business Journal.
