Disney Fines Elementary School For Screening The Lion King

Where's the "F&*% Them Kids." meme when you need it? Recently, The Walt Disney Co. issued a fine of $250 to an elementary school in Berkeley, California after the school hosted a fundraiser where parents played for the 2019 remake of The Lion King for students. One of the parents brought their own, purchased copied of the film and the school had no idea they were breaking the law in any way.

Disney CEO Bob Iger intervened via Twitter claiming he would personally donate to their fund raising efforts after learning about the small fine the school was issued. More below.
