The Royal Australian Mint made a move towards humanity recently and introduced the "donation dollar" to the public (I know the thumbnail above is American currency. Please don't shame me) in an effort to get more people to donate to causes in need. Three million donation dollar coins have already been issued but they plan to release a total of 25 million, the equivalent to the country's population. They claim that if every person donated just one dollar an extra $300 million would be generated toward causes that need it. I'm not good at math so I'm just going to say this is an awesome effort.
