Rapper Lil Wayne is among several names to be pardoned by President Donald Trump before he leaves office. In 2019, Wayne was charged with a felony for illegally possessing and bringing a loaded firearm onto a private jet in Miami. He's set to appear in court on the 28th of January and could face a maximum of 10 years if convicted. Lil Wayne was also one of several prominent black figures to meet with Trump in late 2020 to discuss the Platinum Plan for black communities in America. It is possible that said pardon was also discussed in the same meeting.
