High School Basketball Can Return To Illinois Regions That Reach Phase 4


Slowly but surely, Illinois is making real progress. The Illinois Dept. Of Public Health stated earlier today that regions in the state that reach phase 4 of COVID-19 mitigations can bring back high risk sports within their schools like basketball, football and wrestling. Governor Prtizker is pleased with the progress the state has made but the news came with a warning:

I want to remind us all that we continue to live in a perilous moment. Our ability to have limited indoor restaurant service and to restart youth sports could be cut short if we aren't extremely careful

It's uncertain as to whether sports will rush to start sports immediately or not. Full story via Chicago Sun Times below.
