Burger King threw their hat in the ring ...or the Chicken Sandwich Wars rather, and is now sending personal shots to rival chicken giant, Chick-Fil-A. During Pride Month, BK decided to polk at Chick-Fil-A's troubled past with the LGBTQ+ community by saying for each Ch'King sandwich purchased, even on Sundays, they'll donate 40 cents to the Human Rights Campaign during the month of June. Chick-Fil-A, who doesn't open their doors on Sundays for religious reasons and whose CEO, Dan T. Cathy, had made negative comments about the LGBTQ+ community in 2012 (for.. I'm assuming religious reasons), has yet to comment but honestly should just take this one lying down. The Chicken Sandwich Wars are getting brutal and I'm sure there's a joke in here about corporations taking advantage of Pride Month for personal gain, however, I won't be the one to find it.
