NASA Sent Squids Into Space For Science

If your first guess was "first space Seaworld", you're wrong but we should definitely be friends! NASA has sent dozens of baby squids into space to study how they react to bacteria. Apparently, the human body, more so the immune system begins to go into what's called "dysregulation" and thus can't fight off bacteria. If you're not following, it's easier to get sick in space. According to scientists at the University of Hawaii, however, squids have a direct relationship with bacteria. So naturally we've yeeted them into space to see how they fair and if things go well, we can apply this to humans for lengthy space trips. The move to Mars isn't too far away. More below.
