Argentinian fencer Maria Belen Perez Maurice may have lost out on an Olympic medal Monday, but she gained something unexpected — a marriage proposal from her longtime coach and partner.
Perez Maurice had just been beaten in the women’s saber when Lucas Guillermo Saucedo decided to erase the sting by popping the question on camera — flashing a handwritten sign that read “Will you marry me, please?”
Apparently the couple has been together a long time and Maria rejected Perez' proposal the first time in 2010. See below!
