Monday afternoon, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin made "important economic development announcement" regarding a new Amazon fulfillment center coming to the city.
Gov. Youngkin was joined by Virginia Beach Mayor Bobby Dyer, and others, at the intersection of Harpers Road & Dam Neck Road, which will eventually be the site of an Amazon fulfillment center and separate delivery station.
The facilities will create more than 1,000 full-time jobs, Youngkin announced.
The 650,000-square-foot robotics fulfillment center is anticipated to launch operations in 2025. The delivery station is anticipated to launch in 2024.
