George Clooney recently compared Meghan Markle to Princess Diana saying she's being "vilified" while out promoting his Hulu series 'Catch 22.' Here's more of what George had to say from People Magazine:
“They’re just chasing everywhere, she’s been pursued and vilified,” Clooney told reporters at a press panel, according to Australia’s Who magazine.
“She’s a woman who is seven months pregnant and she has been pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was and it’s history repeating itself.”
“We’ve seen how that ends,” Clooney said, Who magazine reported, in reference to Princess Diana’s fatal car crash in 1997 during which she was being cashed by paparazzi.
On a much lighter note, Clooney, who attended Meghan and Prince Harry ‘s May with wife Amal Clooney , did reveal whether or not he will be the new royal baby’s godfather.
“Oh yes, I’ll be godfather of the royals apparently,” Clooney told reporters before clarifying he was joking with an emphatic, “No!”
“I’m a father of twins, I have enough sh– to deal with — literally!” Clooney said, according to the outlet.
