Looks like CHVRCHES is confused as to why they're catching flack for taking the high road. Recently, front-woman Lauren Mayberry and Co. expressed their distaste in Marshmello's choosing to work with Chris Brown and Tyga immediately after their song 'Here With Me' claiming that the CHVRCHES brand doesn't support artists who are known abusers AND artists that support them:
Since posting this message, fans of C. Breezy have sent both death and rape threats to which Lauren Mayberry felt the need to address it at a show. "...To clarify, we weren't picking on Chris Brown for the sake of picking on Chris Brown." Mayberry goes on to say that it's only right they speak out especially being a band that supports women of physically and sexual abuse. See the clip below
