Juneteenth - Black-Owned Chicago Restaurants Celebrate

Juneteenth is this Friday the 19. This marks the end of slavery back in 1865.

Jeremy Joyce, the founder of Black People Eats, was innovative in coming up with a way to commemorate the celebration of Juneteenth. He reached out to a number of black-owned restaurants to come together for this occasion. This celebration would help and support black owned businesses through these trying times.

The day of and weekend following the participating restaurants will offer a special for $6.19, in relation to the date. Information on special day and weekend, go here. Click here for the map.
