New Chicago Gallery Features History of Video Games

A new gallery in Chicago offers an interactive look at the history of video games:

‘Chicago Gamespace’ has a wide array of arcade machines and other exhibits so far, allowing visitors to play games and systems that started the video game industry in the early 1970s.

Pong, Mortal Kombat II and Space Invaders are among the wide selection of arcade games available to play, with the gallery also having old home consoles such as the Magnavox Odyssey.

Pac-Man, an iconic game that turns 41 years old in 2021 is prominently featured, with arcade machines, pinball machines, the Atari 2600 port and several other artifacts.

The first floor is currently dedicated to Pac-Man, with a new exhibit scheduled to replace it in June. The top floor of Chicago Gamespace stays the same.

Sounds and looks pretty cool! It's in Logan Square by the way. Get more info and tickets HERE.
