Thursday night into Friday morning saw a heavy storm sweep across Lake Erie. Along with the rainfall, the heavy winds were estimated to be about 63 miles per hour as it ravaged Northeastern Ohio.
"As forecasted high winds with gusts up to 63 mph have started and we have outages all over the city. Our trouble crews are out working and will be supplemented by the day shift as they come in this morning. We will work to restore as quickly as possible, but will also be mindful of the safety of our crews. We expect the high winds to continue through this afternoon. When there are updates we will post them here."
Winds are expected to teeter off by this afternoon according to Cleveland.com Drivers should drive with caution as debris and fallen telephone poles are still being clean from the streets.

"High Winds made for a busy morning for #CLEFIRE, @CLEpolice. Multiple trees and wires down around the city. This one fell on Rustic Rd on the west side. No injuries reported. @illuminatingco on scene. Report downed wires to 911. Avoid ALL wires. Phone/Cable could be energized."
