Revolution Brewing and Garrett Popcorn Shops have swapped secret recipes to bring Chicagoans the creation: CaramelCrisp, a limited-release Revolution ale that tastes like Garrett’s caramel popcorn.
CaramelCrisp is brewed like a tradition brown ale — but with 450 pounds of fresh Garrett’s popcorn thrown into each batch, according to Revolution.
That sweet brown popcorn sugar from Garrett’s caramelizes in Revolution’s boil, according to the brewery.
Boxes of CaramelCrisp, sold in four-packs, will be fanned out to stores in Chicago and its suburbs starting Oct. 1, according to the brewery.
