Here are a few of the menu items and events that will be coming to the Fyre Fest pop-up bar at Replay in Lincoln Park next week. Of course the pop-up is inspired by the failed music festival in the Bahamas back in 2017. Some are pretty hilarious. Here is a rundown from The Daily Mail:
On the menu will be drinks including Ja's Bahama Mama, inspired by festival co-creator Ja Rule, as well as Andy's Bahamian B**w Job Shot.
The latter is a cheeky tribute to Andy King, an event producer for the festival who became social media's newest hero after he revealed in the Netflix documentary that he was willing to trade a sexual favor to get water for the event.
Also on offer will be a Pineapple Upside Down Martini, A Goombay Smash, Hibiscus Margarita, and Frozen Rum Runner, according to the Chicago Tribune.
And there will be 'gourmet cheese sandwiches', a nod to the sad cheese sandwich that festivalgoers were given to eat despite being promised 'luxury cuisine'.
While tickets to Fyre Fest ranged from $5,000 to $250,000, the priciest thing at Replay's version will be the $50 VIP tents, cabanas, and villas available for group rentals.
There will also be live palm trees, beach chairs, and a fire pit to help the Chicago bar feel like a tropical paradise.
DJs will be spinning hits from the musicians who were supposed to perform at Fyre Festival, including Major Lazer, Disclosure, Blink-182, and Ja Rule.
There will also be special events during the two-week pop-up, including a treasure hunt, a Blink-182 cover band, and a 'weenie and s'mores roast'.
This is too funny. I can't wait to go. It runs May 3rd - 19th. Get all the info HERE!
