Chance the Rapper announced on his Instagram Monday that he will be postponing most of his tour dates, except the Chicago date, and a few other festivals. Chance made the decision because of his newborn daughter. The Chicago Sun-Times says:
Chance the Rapper took to Instagram Monday to announce he’s postponing most of the dates on his The Big Day tour. He will, however, perform in concert as scheduled Sept. 28 in Chicago.
The decision comes on the heels of the birth of his second daughter, Marli, born last week, who joins 4-year-old sister Kensli in the Bennett household. “I need to be as helpful and available as possible to my wife in these early months of raising Kensli and Marli,” he wrote.
With the exception of his Sept. 28 date at the United Center and three high-profile festival gigs in September and November, all the postponed dates have been rescheduled for 2020.
