According to sources, a sequel to 'Joker' is in the works since the first film was so successful. 'Joker' was the first R-rated movie to bring in a billion dollars! Here are more details:
A Joker sequel is in the works, with director of the first film, Todd Phillips in talks to return!
Warner Bros. has sequel options in place for the star, Joaquin Phoenix, to return as well, THR reports.
Joker just crossed the $1 billion mark at the box office, and is the fourth DC movie to do so behind 2018′s Aquaman ($1.15 billion), 2012′s The Dark Knight Rises($1.08 billion) and 2008′s The Dark Knight($1 billion).
Scott Silver will reportedly write the screenplay for the second movie after writing the first movie, as well.
