Last weekend, Lady A returned to the music game with their latest single "Like A Lady"—an upbeat and uplifting femme-focused anthem embracing the delights of being an independent woman.
Lady A's frontwoman, Hilary Scott, is embracing her role as a role model for women all over the world, especially her three daughters. She told Katie Neal of radio.com that the best way of doing so is by modeling self-discipline in her endeavors, "To make sure that I’m becoming the strongest version of myself, and mother, and woman that I can be. Because they’re just mirroring me…We use words around our house like ‘brave,’ and ‘strong."
Hillary is the mother to a 7 year-old named Eisele Kaye, and 3 year-old twins named Betsy Mack and Emory JoAnn.
Scott also receives advice from her fellow bandmate and his wife, "Make sure that you tell your daughters that they’re smart head over feet more times than you tell them they’re beautiful.’ Not that you don’t tell them that they’re beautiful, and what you see in them is great, but to tell a young girl especially that you’re smart, you’re kind, you’re brave is just a really important part of building the blocks of self-confidence and it not just being about outward beauty."
