Why Kanye West 'Doesn't Believe' Kim Kardashian Will Really Divorce Him

Seems like Kanye West doesn’t take his impending divorce from Kim Kardashian seriously.

According to a March 21 report from HollywoodLife, the “Power” rapper “doesn’t believe” his estranged wife will really go through with her plans to dissolve their marriage, despite reports suggesting the contrary. In case you haven’t been keeping up, Kim filed to end her 7-year marriage to the hip-hop mogul in February 2021.

At the time, it was said that the reality star’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, already put things into motion after filing the documents in Los Angeles. It was also said that the couple is “far along in reaching a settlement agreement” in their seemingly-imminent divorce, but Kanye apparently thinks it's all a bluff.

“Kanye hasn’t filed a response to Kim’s divorce filing because he still doesn’t accept that Kim will see the divorce through to completion,” an insider told HollywoodLife, exclusively. “He knows how Kim is and he knows that she does not want to do this.”

As for Kanye’s wellbeing since the divorce report made headlines, the source added, “He’s doing fine, though, despite everything."

“He really doesn’t believe that Kim is actually going to end their marriage,” they continued. “Kanye sees this as a move in a chess game which is why he hasn’t reacted or done anything. He seems to have no plans of filing a response anytime soon, either. Her whole family is stunned.”

In addition to a reported settlement, Kim is also seeking joint legal and physical custody of the pair’s four children: North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and 1-year-old Psalm. (See what else the couple's divorce paperwork revealed here.)

This latest advancement seems to coincide with previous articles concerning Kanye’s feelings about his rocky marriage, as the entertainer is allegedly betting on the belief that Kim won’t divorce him because “she will realize what she is missing.”

Of course, only time will tell if that’s true.
