Mass Shooting At Cleveland Nightclub

Cleveland police are investigating a shootout that occurred early Sunday morning at a nightclub on the westside of the city. Taking place near the 5100 block of Pearl Road at The Spot Night Club, investigators say an argument sparked a shootout amongst the group of clubbers. WKBN reporting, "Authorities say a man fired the first shot, then several others started shooting as well."

Seven victims were taken to the hospital for treatment—no fatalities have been reported. According to Cleveland 5 News, "all of the victims arrived at Metro Hospital in private vehicles." This crime scene is still under investigation as no suspected shooters have been identified.

Violent altercations, such as this incident, join the nationwide conversation of the rise of mass shootings as establishments reopen during the pandemic as well as security and the right to bear arms.
