Michigan Mask Mandate Expanded to Toddlers

Starting yesterday, the state of Michigan has extended its mask mandate to children between the ages of 2 and 4 years of age. Children will have to wear face masks in public spaces, such as daycares and camps. This will last until May 24th.

This change comes as the state is facing one of the worst virus outbreaks in the country even as vaccinations are starting to increase. Hospitals are starting to reach max capacity. Pediatric COVID-19 cases are also rising in Michigan, as the new coronavirus variant is having more of an impact on children.
