Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci, real name Rayshawn Bennett, has been indicted along with 12 other alleged members of the Bloods street gang. This 75-page, 105 count racketeering charge is a big step in eliminating gang activity in the city of Atlanta.
“This indictment is unprecedented. Period. In Georgia,” Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis told the Atlanta Journal Consitution. She continued, “There’s been a huge spike in violent crime. I made a commitment to bring the best and the brightest minds here, many of which you see sitting here right now so that we could deal with this issue of this violent crime."
The authorities were able to use his social media presence as well as the lyrics in his songs as evidence.
Bennett is also being charged for being an accomplice to murder as he drove three Blood members to a standoff with a rival gang last December.
