Chicago Live Again

Navy Pier hosts more than 30 iconic cultural institutions and individual artists in a FREE two-day festival, Friday, Sept 24, and Saturday, Sept. 25. Called “Chicago Live Again,” this festival celebrates the return of live performance after 18 dark months.

Participating companies include Broadway in Chicago, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera, Joffrey, Second City, Black Theater Ensemble, Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

Their performances will preview the upcoming fall arts season. Chicago Live Again is dedicated to the artists—onstage and backstage—who were hit first and hit hard by the pandemic shut-down.

Professional artists from these companies will also lead public master classes with students from Chicago High School for the Performing Arts. There will be two main stages plus pop-up performances along the Pier. For information, visit Navypier.org
