Devouring hundreds of hot dogs paid off for a Chicago woman who took part in the Vienna Beef Hot Dog Stand Challenge.

Anyone competing in the challenge finds participating hot dog stands, and scans a QR code near the register when they order a hot dog. The challenge spanned August 19 through October 17:

“It’s time to find the biggest Hot Dog fan in all of Chicagoland. The rules are simple: Eat at as many participating Hot Dog Stands as you can for a chance at hot dog greatness. Many will enter. Many will take home prizes. But only one will be crowned the Vienna Beef Top Dog.”

There are “literally hundreds of choices,” which is why Stephanie E managed to visit 367 hot dog stands with 1,221 check-ins, sending her to the No. 1 spot, the leaderboard shows.

“I am a highly competitive person so when I heard about this challenge it became a top priority. I had a very organized system to make sure I could get to each location as efficiently as possible,” Stephanie told Chicago’s WGN9, noting that more than 4,300 participated in the hot dog stand challenge. “It was an incredible experience getting to visit parts of the region and meet people that I would never have had the chance to if it wasn’t for Vienna Beef hosting this challenge.”
