Well, I'd argue that we'd come in first place, but we'll take it!
According to Secret Chicago, Chicago has been ranked the second best city in Time Out’s annual global survey. More than 20,000 people took part in the 2022 Time Out index which ranked Chicago so high up the list.
The survey asked voters to consider different aspects of each city including nightlife, food and drink, arts and culture, affordability, walkability, public transportation, and more. Not only was Chicago placed second, but it was the only U.S. city to make the top 10, with New York at number 20.
Other highlights called attention to Chicago’s resilience (which was recognized as the fourth highest in the world) and acknowledged its recent resurgence coming out stronger and more united after two years of on-off restrictions.
