The Chicago Urban Ag Crawl and Backyard Barbecue

On Saturday, September 11, 2022, Growing Home and Grow Greater Englewood will be co-hosting the Inaugural Chicago Urban Agriculture Crawl in Greater Englewood!

Urban agriculture is one of the fastest growing trends in Chicago and cities around the world for community development, fresh food, green spaces and even workforce development. The Inaugural Chicago Urban Ag Crawl brings together organizations, residents, businesses and partners to celebrate and support local urban agriculture in Chicago with a tour filled with food, drink, entertainment and other activities!

Events Include:

2pm-4pm: Backyard Barbecue at Growing Home Urban Farm 5814 S. Wood Street featuring Chef Tastings, Drinks, Tours, Music, Garden & Wellness Activities, Paddle Raise

4pm-6pm: Urban Agriculture Trolley Tour Across Greater Englewood at Sistas in the Village, Catatumbo Cooperative Farm, WeGrow Community Garden, DuSable Ancestral Vineyard and Winery, Getting Grown Collective, Cedillo’s Fresh Produce

6pm-8pm: Music & Celebration at Englewood Village Plaza 5822 S. Halsted Street with Grow Greater Englewood and Urban Growers Collective Garden, featuring small bites, desserts, cocktails and drinks, live DJ and more!
