As NHL Hall of Famer, Wayne Gretzky once said, "you only miss 100% of the shots you don't take." When you're losing a game and only have a couple seconds left to turn it around, why not just give that shot a go. That's exactly what a freshman Evanston Township basketball player did.
Back in February, Blake Peters, a freshman at Evanston Township went viral for the one shot he didn't plan on taking to secure his teams' victory. Months later, Peter is being nominated for the "Best Play" category at the ESPY's. Check out the shot below.
His jaw-dropping shot even made the No. 1 play on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 plays of the day.
