So Jay-Z went out to Playroom, a bar in Manhattan and racked up a tab of over $80,000 (it was actually $91,135 if you want to get technical). Hov left an $11,000 tip but here's the kicker: people are mad because he didn't even tip 15%.
Yeah, Jay-Z left a 11,000$ tip on a 80,000$ tab. That’s not even 15%. pic.twitter.com/iBCZpH09jV— Gwen Salami (@chelsalame) February 20, 2018
I was a server for many years, waited on tons of celebrities/rich folk, not leaving 20% is just not right. $11,000 is a lot of money, but if you have money to spend 90k like it’s nothing, you have money to tip 20%. https://t.co/KD8SCq9fw4— Liz Gonzales (@TheLizGonzales) February 20, 2018
First of all folks, it's Jay-Z. Be thankful Jay-Z even came thru to your place of business. Secondly, I'm not gonna argue with an $11,000 tip. You know how expensive things are in New York?? I mean, yes, an adequate tip is encouraged. If you're already dropping 90k, you could tip the proper amount. However, I'm not getting all out of line over 11k... from Jay-Z himself people. See the glass half full here.
