In a vast and gruesome reality television age, Catfish provided content that no show has ever offered up. Nev Schulman and Max Joseph found the niche early on and it took off like a rocket with 7 seasons, 115 episodes and 31 specials. Today, the MTV juggernaut moves into its next chapter as Max bids the show farewell.
Hey guys, the time has come, sadly, for to move on from Catfish. Working on this show for the last seven years has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I've learned a lot about myself. my country and human nature in general. Ve and I have become brother and our bromance has blossomed before your eyes. For the while now I have been straddling two careers as TV host and filmmaker and. whit this level of busy-ness is a dream come true, my life can no longer sustain it.
It's a sad day for us Catfish fans as we all have our favorite episodes and know that Max was the voice of reason with his innately blunt respsonses. His final episode is August 22nd. Read his letter and Nev's below.
