Although Halsey just performed at the 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion, it seems some comments made by their higher ups have her distancing herself from the lingerie brand. In a recent interview, chief marketing officer, Ed Razek, was asked about Victoria's Secret's inclusivity with trans and plus size models to which he said there have been in years past but in a follow up question as to why they currently don't he responded:
"Well, why not? Because the show is a fantasy. It's a 42-minute entertainment special. That's what it is."
He also went on to call trans people "transsexuals" which the LGBTQ+ community finds outdated and offensive. It was here where Halsey drew the line and took to social media to take a stand. Read her full statement below.
