Today marks another big milestone for Ariana Grande. She just released her fifth studio album, Thank U, Next and it immediately went number 1 within minutes. It was kind of expected to be a huge release considering the success of her last album, Sweetener , which was only released six months ago, and her first two singles off TUN, the title track and '7 Rings'.
One of the stand out tracks that has people completely in their feels was the song 'ghostin'. Fans are speculating it's the story of Grande's relationship with Pete Davidson and feelings towards late ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller.
It's here Grande explains the song is about is being with someone while having feelings for another. Based on her responses to fans on Twitter, 'ghostin' was the first song she wrote and not on any current set list due to the fact that she can't get through it without crying.
Thank U, Next , a 12-piece follow up to Sweetener , is truly a testament to pain, vulnerability and healing. Grande was scheduled to perform during the Grammy Awards this Sunday but recently backed out due to artistic stifling on the producers' end.
